Michael Joyce is a retired senior emergency management leader based in Tura Beach, NSW, with more than three decades of experience across bushfire operations, incident management, governance, compliance, and strategic planning. His career spans senior roles within the ACT Government, Commonwealth agencies, and private\u2011sector consulting, where he built a reputation for calm leadership, operational insight, and an ability to bring structure and clarity to complex, high\u2011pressure environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout his emergency management career, Michael developed deep expertise in major bushfire response, AIIMS\u2011based incident management, inter\u2011agency coordination, and post\u2011incident analysis. He is widely regarded for his capability in designing and implementing operational systems, evaluating organisational performance, and leading multidisciplinary teams during critical incidents. His work in independent review, policy development, program evaluation, and strategic advisory roles has supported government and agency decision\u2011making at the highest levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After retiring from the ACT Rural Fire Service, Michael established his own consultancy, applying his governance, operational, and technical skills to support private companies navigating the documentation and compliance requirements of WHS legislation. He has played a key role in strengthening business systems, improving scheduling and workflow processes, and contributing to strategic planning and organisational development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Michael also brings extensive experience with the Microsoft 365 suite, using these tools to produce high\u2011quality reports, presentations, and complex spreadsheets that support forward planning and informed decision\u2011making. His combination of operational leadership, governance expertise, and technical capability allows him to deliver practical, reliable, and well\u2011structured solutions tailored to the needs of each client.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When Michael’s not working he spends his spare time playing golf (very badly \ud83c\udfcc\ufe0f\u200d\u2640\ufe0f) at the Tura Beach Country Club – “The club with the million dollar views!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
